Director Ponram of Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam announced his next project, Rajini Murugan, with Sivakarthikeyan in the lead.

The film’s pre-production had begun already with director-producer N Lingusamy agreeing to produce it under his home banner Tirupati Brothers.

However, the buzz now is that the production has opted out and the director is on the lookout for a suitable producer to finance Rajini Murugan.

Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam, which also had Sivakarthikeyan in the lead role, was one the biggest hits in Kollywood, it may be mentioned here.
