A.R.Murugadoss’ latest film Kaththi starring Vijay, released on Deepavali is running successfully.
Following the success of the film, it is heard that A.R.Murugadoss is to start his next project in Hindi with Sonakshi Sinha, which is a woman centric action film.

Sources say that the filming of the new project will begin in December 2014. The official confirmation about the title, cast & crew of the project will be announced soon.

In an earlier interview, the director had confirmed that he will start shooting for the film in November this year, after he completes filming his Tamil directorial venture titled Kaththi, which stars Vijay in the lead.

The action-packed film with Sinha is scheduled to be completed within three months, which will be produced by Fox Star Studios. Before the shoot, Sinha is expected to attend a 30-day workshop. The stunts that she is required to perform would be based on traditional Indian martial arts form based in Kerala. She will be seen playing a college student in this film, that will try to spread a message to the women of our country.

Speaking about the film, Murugadoss said, “I have a great working relationship with the production house and I’m excited to collaborate on a Bollywood project with them. My film with Sonakshi is based on a story which is close to my heart and has a very personal and powerful message for all Indian women.” While confirming that Sinha’s character is not similar to that of Angelina Jolie in Lara Croft or Uma Thurman in Kill Bill, the director said he is confident that her action avatar will look fresh and will be liked by all.

An excited Sinha took to her Twitter account and posted, “Its official! My next is a woman-oriented action film directed by the genius behind Ghajini & Holiday @ AR Murugadoss! We start in November.”

Aalif Surti, Chief Creative Officer, Fox Star Studios, India, said, “Murugadoss is a superb storyteller who makes entertaining films which have a pan-Indian appeal. He is the only director whose films have been consistently successful in three languages; Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.”
