Karthi tasted box office and critical success with Madras and has now moved on to his next movie Komban. Kuttipuli fame Muthaiah is directing the movie. Laskhmi Menon, Rajkiran and Kovai Sarala play important roles in the movie.

Komban revolves around a sentimental village based story about a father-in-law played by Raj Kiran and his relationship with his son-in-law played by Karthi. It's set in Ramanathapuram district in south Tamil Nadu.
