Karthi tasted box office and critical success with Madras and has now moved on to his next movie Komban. Kuttipuli fame Muthaiah is directing the movie. Laskhmi Menon, Rajkiran and Kovai Sarala play important roles in the movie.

Komban revolves around a sentimental village based story about a father-in-law played by Raj Kiran and his relationship with his son-in-law played by Karthi. It's set in Ramanathapuram district in south Tamil Nadu.

After his debut movie, Paruthi Veeran, Karthi is doing a village subject. So the expectations are very high for the movie. Unlike Madras which was not a script written for Karthi, Komban was written specifically keeping Karthi in mind.

We hear that more than half of the film has been completed. Reportedly, the team in now canning the climax sequences in Madurai. After this schedule, the crew will be shooting some patch work scenes.

Karthi will be sporting a handlebar moustache in this family entertainer, which has music director G.V. Prakash on the keys.

The shoot of the film will be over by end November with VIP director Velraj being the cinematographer. GV Prakash is the music director. Komban will hit the screens in February.
