Recently the team of Poojai met the press. The film is directed by Hari and features Vishal and Shruti Haasan in the leads.

The film is slated to release on the Diwali day of 22nd October. Poojai also has Radhika, Sathyaraj, Soori, Jayaprakash and many of Hari's regulars. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored music and Priyan has handled camera.

On this occasion, Vishal said that he was very happy to work under Hari after his Thamirabarani and in his film career, Poojai is the only film that is being released in maximum screens. The main reason behind this is his teamwork with director Hari. He did go on to request Superstar Rajinikanth and Ilayathalapathi Vijay to take part in this multi starrer.

He also added that he is planning to work in a multi-starrer. Multi-starrer films are always great to watch and Vishal is one actor who has always been pumped about the idea. The actor has recently hinted in the Poojai press meet that he along with four other actors namely Arya, Jiiva, Karthi and Jayam Ravi will come together for a multi-starrer in 2015. The returns which come from this movie will be given to the South Indian Film Artistes Association to build a permanent building.

Vishal added that the story and the film's director are yet to be decided, and that the actors would not recieve a single penny for doing this film. The story of the film is yet to be finalized, he added.

The actor is now running around promoting his next film Poojai which is slated for Diwali release. Next up will be Aambala, which is directed by Sundar C.
