Off the late there were speculations making rounds about actress Disco Shanti, wife of late Srihari. Report mills have it that Shanti is in critical condition and undergoing treatment in Singapore Hospital.

Shanti is shocked by hearing such baseless rumours and apparently released a press not refusing all the news to be false.

"I am fine and nothing happened to my health. I don't understand who started these kinds of speculations. Many of my friends and well wishers have started to call as they have read in some websites that i'm suffering from a liver related disease. I am residing in Chennai from few days undergoing treatment for Jaundice in supervision of my sister Lalitha Kumari. I am stable and this is not a critical situation like reported in some sections of media. Both of my sons living in Hyderabad were upset hearing and reading the imaginative news published by web media. I am in good health and please do not panic."

Known for special songs in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi movies, Shanti is a good samaritan who extended her helping hand through Akshaya Foundationto the villagers near Medchal area.
