The film Rummy which had Vijay Sethupathi in the cast was released in the month of February. After a long gap the film Vanmam was released recently.

In between films like Jigarthanda, Kadhai Thiraikathai Vasanam Iyakkam and Thirudan Police had Vijay Sethupathi in guest roles. Vijay Sethupathi is currently acting in the film Purampokku. The shooting of the film is in final stages.

Vijay Sethupathi will also be producing his next film. He is now producing and acting in a film titled Orange Mittai. The shooting of the film is also in final stages. At this juncture, Vijay Sethupathi has been signed for the lead role in a film titled Merku Thodarchi Malai.

Lenin Bharathi who was earlier an assistant to director Suseenthiran will be directing the film. Ilayaraja who was highly impressed by the story has decided to compose the music for Merku Thodarchi Malai. The shooting of the film will commence during the month of December.
