The Censor Board has given a U certificate to Lingaa which has Rajinikanth in the lead role. The songs and trailer of the film was released recently. This has become popular amongst the people.

Arrangements are being made to release the film on Rajinikanth’s birthday (12th December). Because of this the post-productions were made in brisk pace. The film was sent to Censor Board for certification. The members who saw the film certified it with U certificate without any cuts.
