After a long wait, the makers of ‘Lingaa’ finally released the teaser of South film God, ‘Rajinikanth’s upcoming Tamil film.

The teaser is everything we hoped it would be – sharp, exciting and loaded with action. Rajinikanth, who somehow keeps getting younger each year, looks fantastic in the film. We also get a glimpse of B-Town beauty Sonakshi Sinha, who is making her Tamil debut in the actioner.

All those who simply adore Rajinikanth for his exceptional style, impressive mannerisms and the ease with which he performs action, will not be disappointed with 'Lingaa'. Yes, the teaser is out and it is just so amazing. The 35-second long teaser wows the viewers with its gripping background score, amazing action sequences and Sonakshi Sinha's new look and of course, the presence of superstar Rajinikanth. "Lingaa" has been directed by KS Ravikumar and produced by Rockline Venkatesh.

Within minutes of the teaser’s release, it went viral on social networking sites. Hashtags #SuperstarLingaaTeaser and #lingaateaser also began to Trend on Twitter.

  • Rajinikanth wears pink T-shirt, a blue scarf and a jacket in one of the sequences! Not everybody can carry off the look well, but when it is superstar Rajinikanth, everything is possible.
  • He also wears the traditional attire and looks really impressive.
  • In the sequence where Rajinikanth plays with his revolver, he is seen wearing a brown leather jacket, a blue waistcoat and a grey shirt. Too many combinations, right?
  • After romancing Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 'Robot' and Deepika Padukone in 'Kochadaiiyaan', Rajinikanth will be seen opposite Sonakshi Sinha in 'Lingaa'.
  • Even though Rajinikanth is 63, he looks fit as he dons the look of a young man in the film.

'Lingaa' is Rajinikanth's third film with the director KS Ravi Kumar. He worked with the filmmaker in 'Muthu' and 'Padayappa'. As reports suggest, the film has been named after Rajinikanth's grandson Linga. Linga is the son of actor Dhanush and Rajinikanth's elder daughter Aishwaryaa.

The first look of the film featuring the superstar was released on social media platforms on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
