Amy Jackson states the reason for opting out from Suriya's Masss

Briton Amy Jackson, who is becoming a busy heroine in Kollywood with each passing day, has said that she opted out of Venkat Prabhu’s Suriya-starrer Masss because the offer ‘slipped through’ her hands even before she could react.

Amy debuted in Tamil films a few years back with A.L. Vijay’s Madarasapattinam and starred in films such as Thandavam. She now awaits the release of Shankar’s I opposite Vikram, a film which she counts a lot to increase her stardom in Kollywood. Even before the release of the much-delayed I, Amy has signed up films opposite national award-winning actor Dhanush and producer-actor Udhayanidhi.

She was to play a prominent role in Masss but has since been replaced by Pranitha of Saguni fame. After taking part in the photo-shoot, Amy is now out of the film. Reacting to rumours that there was something ‘fishy’ about her exit from the film, Amy says: “I’m often asked the reason for opting out of Suriya’s Masss; there is no reason. I was happy to have got the offer but unfortunately, it didn’t stick with me.

“I have decided to opt to do character-driven roles in Tamil films. Though I missed out in starring opposite Suriya, I’m sure I’d get another chance pretty soon,” concludes Amy. Following Amy’s exit, it now appears that Nayantara’s character has gained prominence in the film!
