Vijay Sethupathi is donning the lead role in the film titled Naanum Rowdydhaan. Dhanush is producing the film which is being directed by Vignesh Shiva.

This is his second film. He had earlier directed the film titled Poda Podi. Nayanthara is pairing with Vijay Sethupathi in this film. She is donning the role of a deaf girl.

Nayanthara is moving with the deaf people in order to learn the mannerisms. Apart from this, there is also a great significance for the heroine. That is the reason that she also agreed to pair with Vijay Sethupathi. She had already donned different kinds of roles in Sri Rama Rajiyam and Anamika.

Major portion shooting of the film is taking place in Pondicherry. She is currently pairing with Jayam Ravi in Thani Oruvan and with Udhayanidhi Stalin in Nanbenda. Apart from these films, she is also donning the role of mother of 5 years old child. She is also pairing with Surya in Masss and with Simbhu in Idhu Namma Aalu.
