Vijay's films always become a competition among distributors and the competition happens in such a way that they tend to pay a huge sum in some way or the other to get the rights of the movie.

In a meantime, Vijay's previous release Kaththi has made a huge box office collection and subsequently his market value has also been increased.

Currently he is starring in the film tiled "Puli"and this is being directed by Chimbudevan. This movie's distribution rights in Chennai and NSC has been acquired by the late legendary director Rama Narayanan's 'Sri thenandal Films' .

Following this, in many areas distributors are competing very hard to get the films rights, says the sources in Kollywood industry.
