Vijay TV made ௹ 20 Crore from just SMS voting for Super Singer Junior 4

On Feb 20th the channel hosted the Live event of it's 4th season Finale. The judges of the show singers Chitra, Mano and Malgudi Subha along with the Tamil film music industry would be seen to encourage and judge the talented young contestants.
When judges are mere puppets, there comes the public voting system. Vijay TV has been using this system to select the winner of the program ‘Airtel Super Singer’ for nearly four seasons.
It is heard that through the SMS received from the public the channel has earned Rs 20 crore. Nearly two crore people from Tamil Nadu has voted for the contestants for which the channel has taken five rupees totally, one rupee for the SMS and four rupees for the channel.
Likewise the money collected for SMS from overseas was 15 rupees per SMS out of which one rupee for the network company and the remaining went to the channel.
This way, the channel has earned rupees 20 crore from the public voting system.
