Filmmaker-actor, Cheran’s Cinema 2 Home, an initiative to curb piracy, has turned out to be a grand success.

Cheran’s J K Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai is creating records and this filmmaker has released this movie through DVD on March 5th, 2015. Cheran's C2H, a company that proposes to take video discs directly to audiences’ homes — was officially launched on Thursday evening at a grand event at Nehru Indoor Stadium. Distributors and cable operators who are going to work with C2H were present at its launch on Thursday.

He had released his production and directorial venture, JK Enum Nanbanin Vaazhkai through his medium and on the first day of its release around 10 lakh CDs have been sold, indicating its clear success. Twenty-five lakh DVDs will be sold through distributors all over Tamil Nadu. The film will not have a theatrical release.

The film stars Sharvanand and Nithya Menen as the lead pair with Prakash Raj in a pivotal role. GV Prakash and Siddharth Vipin have composed the tunes for this flick.

Filmmaker Thangar Bachan said if Cheran’s effort paid off, the middlemen who decided what audiences could and could not see would become obsolete.

“The auteur will be able to say what he wants to say and reach millions of people,” he said.

Producer G. Dhanajayan said this effort would soon become an ideal case study at management institutes.

“A major share of the revenue is eaten up by the piracy market. C2H will curb that,” he said.

Wishes to Cheran for many more successes through his C2H!
