Komban clears censor with U
Karthi made his debut in the film Paruthiveeran. This film was directed by Ameer. After this Karthi had acted in many films but none of his films were a great success at the box office.

There were also talks that his acting was not so good when compared to Paruthiveeran. Keeping this in mind, Karthi selected Komban because it had the shades of Paruthiveeran.

After Paruthiveeran he is donning the role of a villager. Moreover there was a great response for the recently released songs and teaser. Kutty Puli Muthaiah has directed the film. Lakshmi Menon has paired with Karthi. Raj Kiran and Kovai Sarala have donned important roles.

G V Prakash Kumar has composed the music.

With the film is involved in a controversy that the content is glorifying particular community and insults the sentiment of the other and few political outfits were closely monitoring the censor process of the film, Komban certified with U from the censor board today.

In order to release the film in big way, Studio Green has booked more than 360 theatres. Actor Arun Pandiyan of A&P Group International banner has bought Komban overseas distribution rights.

Produced by KE Gnanavelraja's Studio Greens, Karthi's Komban is gearing up for worldwide release on 2nd April with 145 mins running time. The problem is that the film Nanbenda is also being released on the same day. Hence the makers are yet to decided to release the film on 10 April or 17th April. Official confirmation awaited.
