BharathirajaLike Kollyinsider already reported , the team ‘Vijay 59’ was contemplating on roping a powerful actor for an important role and the director Atlee is said to have approached Bharathiraja for the same. After hearing the complete script, the ‘Bommalattam’ director agreed to be a part of the flick and this brings a new dimension to the development.
Many times, the actors have lauded the acting skills of Bharathiraja and the same was visible in ‘Pandiya Naadu’. For a change, the veteran had started to put himself in front of the camera in the last few years, and it was all started with 'Ayutha Ezhuthu' by director Maniratnam and later ‘Rettai Suzhi’ by sharing the screen space K. Balachander.
The film will be produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and GV Prakash Kumar will be composing the music. George C Williams who handled the cinematography for Vijay’s Kaththi will be cranking the camera and Muthuraj will be the art director for Vijay 59.
Vijay 59 is directed by Atlee of 'Raja Rani' fame and G.V.Prakash scores for Vijay after 'Thalaivaa' in this project. Earlier it was rumored that Nayanthara will be the leading lady but Samantha who looked great with Vijay in 'Kaththi’ has been confirmed for the project.
Vijay is currently busy with the shooting of Puli and he will kick start Atlee's film by May.
