Uttama Villain release postponed again

Kamal Haasan starrer Ramesh Arvind directorial that was scheduled to be released on the 10th of April is getting postponed now, as predicted by Kollyinsider "Sun Pictures spoils Uthama Villain release plans?".

Prime Media, a North American movie distributor who are distributing the Kamal film in America informed this through their official twitter page.

This surely comes as a disappointment for all Kamal fans. The movie was earlier announced to be released on 2 April. Later reported that the movie will hit screens on 10 April, but it postponed again, where as the official confirmation of the new release date is still awaited.

Kamal Haasan will be seen in double roles as a superstar and a folk artist. The film, which is co-written by Haasan and Crazy Mohan, has a huge star cast of Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Parvathi Nair, Urvashi, Jayaram, Nassar, K Viswanath, Chithra Lakshman, MS Bhaskar and Ashwin.

K Balachander, the legendary film-maker who passed away recently, will play the role of mentor to Kamal Haasan's superstar character in the movie just as it was in real life.

The film is co-produced by N Lingusamy under the banner of Thirupathi Brothers Pvt Ltd and Kamal under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International. The worldwide distribution of the movie is done by Eros now.
