Last year, actor Suriya had announced his first production venture with Pandiraj’s children film 'Haiku' under his '2D Entertainment' banner.

While it is well known that Suriya and Amala Paul are playing extended cameos in this kids’ movie, sources have come out with the news that the former will be seen as a doctor and the latter as a teacher.

Haiku, is said to be a children’s film and the last installment of children’s film trilogy by the filmmaker after – Marina and Pasanga. Earlier there were rumours that Suriya’s wife, Jyothika will also play a cameo in the film, but a little birdie tells us that the director has zeroed in Mili actress Amala Paul to play the role. The main stars of the film are said to be a bunch of kids along with actress Bindhu Madhavi.

Known for the different portrayal of kids in his films, it would be interesting to see how stars like Suriya and Amala Paul will fit in the story. Right now, Suriya is busy with Venkat Prabhu’s Masss and is expected to join shooting for Haiku once the shooting for Masss is complete.

Director Pandiraj’s Haiku is shaping up very well with the shooting nearing completion. The director did reveal that he is done with the talkie portions and needs to shoot a couple of songs. Bindu Madhavi, Karthik Kumar and a host of kids play important roles in his flick, which is produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment.
