Nayantara, Pranitha Subhash played female leads for Suriya in this horror comedy, which has Vidyullekha, Premgi Amaren and Samuthirakani in key roles. Masss is doing good business in the form of distribution rights.

The poster shows Suriya sporting a pair of blue-tinted sun glasses with a hair style that appears to be a bouffant. He wears an ear ring and pairs it with leather jacket. The expression on Suriya’s face is a departure from the previous, ominous-looking poster. The second one is a kind of a tough-guy look while the first one had an eerie, ghost-like feel to it.

From what little is known of Masss, the film is supposed to be a horror comedy. Further, reports suggest that Suriya will be seen in a double role which possibly explains the two different expressions and looks.

Studio Greens themselves releasing Masss in Tamil Nadu, while the other areas are sold for fancy price. Actor Arun Pandiyan of A & P Group International holds Masss overseas rights.

Just like any other Venkat Prabhu movie, Masss too comes up with an interesting caption ‘A Venkat Prabhu Sixer’. Remember the director used unique and catchy captions including ‘A Venkat Prabhu Holiday’ in Goa, ‘A Venkat Prabhu Game’ in Mankatha and ‘A Venkat Prabhu Diet’ in Biriyani.

There is a speculation that Masss has six characters and the caption ‘A Venkat Prabhu Sixer’ is justifying it.

The first poster released last year led to a controversy with many implying that it was a lift from the poster of Matt Damon's Bourne Ultimatum. However, director Venkat Prabhu denied it.

"For the first time in history, all exhibitors gave 75% terms to #Masss in South Arcot area. Real mass", says a trustable source.

Mean time, the film’s music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has handed over the master CD to the producers and the team will be soon announcing the audio launch date, followed by grand movie release on May 15.

Stay tuned for more Masss updates...
