Vishal celebrates completion of 10 years in cinema, announced to contest in Nadigar Sangam election [Video]

Vishal is riding high on the commercial success of his last two flicks, Poojai and Aambala. The actor is now shooting for his upcoming film Paayum Puli opposite Kajal Aggarwal a cop story being helmed by Suseenthiran, took some time out to meet the members of his fans club.

Actor Vishal met his fans at a grand function organized to celebrate him completing 10 years in cinema. He interacted with him and even shook hands and posed for photographs with them.

After thanking his fans for their support, Vishal shifted the focus back to the South Indian Film Artistes' Association(SIFAA) and reminded everyone about the promise that he had made. 'Nadigar Sangam': Vishal's Open Challenge To Sarathkumar An emotionally uplifted Vishal spoke about improving the infrastructure of the Artistes' Association and that he will get married only after realizing his dream of erecting an edifice for the 'Nadigar Sangam'.

'I am not keen on entering politics'He also revealed about his plan to contest in the forthcoming SIFAA elections, he said, "I am planning to contest in the Nadigar Sangam elections. I have been trying hard for the construction of Nadigar Sangam building for a long time." Stressing on the fact that he's not been getting any support, he added, "I don't see any progress, I am fed up of asking people about this. So, I am contesting the elections just for this noble cause and I have no other intentions."

Vishal contesting in the upcoming elections also means that he will be facing off against Sarathkumar who is a strong opponent, after being elected as the President for third consecutive time. With Sarathkumar already warning Vishal pertaining to this issue, things are all set to go from hot to hotter should Vishal decide to go ahead with his plans. Stay tuned for further updates.
