Kollywood day-log protest against digital cinema service providers
Various trade bodies of Tamil cinema resorted to a strike today and held a day-long token fast here condemning the high-handedness of UFO and Qube makers.

Members of various trade bodies of Tamil cinema including Tamil Film Producers Council, South India Film Artistes Association, FEFSI, Tamil Film Directors Association and who's who of the filmdom participated in the protest.

Among those who spoke at the meet urged the intervention of both Central and State governments and help save the industry.

They alleged that the attitude of UFO and Qube makers has burnt the pockets of producers and the survival of the industry is at stake.

President of Nadigar Sangam Sarathkumar, TFPC office-bearers T Shiva, Kathiresan, actors including Vivek among others spoke.

Veteran filmmaker Muktha Srinivasan, who was admitted to a hospital managed to make it to the venue to express his support for the protest.
