Kangana Ranaut and Ritika Singh, who won the national awards for best actress and special mention categories for ‘Tanu Weds Manu Returns’ and ‘Irudhi Suttru’, respectively, had one thing in common- Madhavan is the hero of their flicks.

Ever since the awards were announced, industry people are congratulating Madhavan too, by saying that he is the lucky charm of Kangana and Ritika. And the yesteryear ‘chocolate hero’ has responded to it.

“I am really so very happy for both of them. I am no lucky charm. Both the ladies have deservedly got what they deserved. I am so proud of them. Time for me to gloat,” he said.

It is to be noted that Kangana had acted opposite Jayam Ravi in ‘Dham Dhoom’. On Monday, while ‘Baahubali’ was adjudged the best film in the 63rd National Awards, ‘Visaranai’ won three honours and maestro Ilayaraja won the best music director (background score) for ‘Thaara Thappattai’.
