Director Pa Ranjith has broken silence on his next movie- Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Kabali’- in an interview to a Tamil magazine.

According to him, the ‘thalaivar’ is playing an international don, who however runs a school for children whose families are affected by the underworld. ‘Madras’ fame Kalaiarasan is the instructor of that school.

Attakathi Dinesh plays the son of another don. But he joins Rajini’s team after getting impressed by his style. Contrary to what was earlier believed, Dhansika is not playing Rajini’s daughter. Instead, she too is part of the underworld and is in the opponent’s team of Rajini.

“Dhansikaa plays a Thai-based gangster and has her own gang. She plays a brat of a daughter who has serious issues with her father,” a source from the film’s unit told.

For her role, Dhansikaa has undergone drastic transformation.

“She sports a boy cut and plays a character that’s very different from anything she has played so far in her career,” he said.

Radhika Apte plays a worker in a farm, who marries Rajini later. A scene was shot in Goa recently, in which ‘aged romance’ between Rajiniand Radhika was captured.

“Shooting is over and post-production works are on. Teaser, trailer and music will be released very soon and the film will hit the screens soon,” Ranjith said.
