Those seeing Arya now would sure be reminded of Madhavan in ‘Irudhu Suttru’. The actor, hitherto known for his romantic endeavours, has beefed up for his upcoming action film, which is to be helmed by Raghavan of ‘Manja Pai’ fame.

According to sources, Arya went on a strenuous workout routine with the help of a professional trainer, and ended up getting the body of a boxer. “He now weights 88 kilograms,” they added.

Catherine Tresa of ‘Madras’ and ‘Kanithan’ fame will be the lead lady of this film, which is set in the backdrop of forests. The flick is tentatively titled ‘Thani Kaatu Raja’ and Arya, it is learnt, will be playing the role of a honey collector. Actor Jiiva would be producing this project under his family banner Super Good Films.

Arya, who badly needs a super hit to revive his career, is said to be pinning a lot of hopes on this flick. Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the music. Shooting is expected to commence very soon.
