In the middle of a lengthy schedule in New Delhi, the team of Superstar Rajinikanth‘s ‘2.0’, headed by director Shankar, will be back in Chennai by the end of this month.

“A grand set is being erected on the outskirts of the city for the third schedule. It will start by April end and will go on till the middle of Mary. After that, the cast and crew of the mega project will move to foreign locations,” sources said.

Presently, the team is shooting in Delhi stadium and other places. A football match scene was canned recently in the presence of thousands of junior artistes. Akshay Kumar, the villain of ‘2.0’, appeared in a totally different get-up.

Produced by Lyca, ‘2.0’, tipped to be the costliest ever film in Indian cinema history, has music by Oscar-Grammy winner A R Rahman. The ‘Mozart of Madras’, if sources are to be believed, will compose five songs for the movie.

  1. Rajinikanth was born on 12 December 1950, in a Marathi family to Ramabai, a housewife, and Ramoji Rao Gaekwad, a police constable, in Bangalore, Mysore State (present day Karnataka). He was named Shivaji Rao Gaekwad after Chhatrapati Shivaji, a Maratha warrior King, and was brought up speaking Marathi at home and Kannada outside.Rajinikanth's ancestors hailed from a village called Mavdi Kade Pathar, in the present-day Pune district, Maharashtra.[4] He is the youngest of four siblings in a family consisting of two elder brothers, Satyanarayana Rao & Nageshwara Rao and a sister, Aswath Balubhai. After his father's retirement from work in 1956, the family moved to the suburb of Hanumantha nagar in Bangalore and built a house there.[2] When he was nine years old, he lost his mother.
