Chennai International Fashion Week: A round-up 13 designers, 50 models and three days of fashion extravagance. Yes, we are talking about the Gitanjali Lifestyle Chennai International Fashion Week (April 14 to 16) that concluded on Saturday. Let's take a look at the shows: Day 1 Names like Mona Pali and James Ferreira spiked the crowd's interest and the banquet hall was house full at the Ambassador Pallava. Mona Pali opened the show with her subtle anarkalis, saris and lehengas accompanied by Nizam and Giantti styled jewels, which were a treat to watch. Aruna Singh's bright collections truly reflected the Chennai culture and fashion while James Ferreira, who is known for his drapes and cutting stules, presented an array of free flowing fabrics in white and black. Her colourful saris, ghagras and salwars truly reflected the festivities and celebrations. Actors Sibiraj and Vijayalakshmi scorched the ramp in stylish jeans for the Lawman Pg3 show while Ganesh Venkataraman set the ramp on fire in a royal white sherwani for designer Archana Kocchar. Upping the star quotient for the evening was the Galatta Anniversary Show. Arun Vijay, Shakthi Chidambaram, Piaa Bajpai, Rupa Manjari, Vega and Snigdha graced the ramp for the Style One Galatta Superstars show. Actress Rohini walked the ramp in a beautiful Indian wear for designer Krishna Mehta. As one season closes, talks are already on with a slew of designers for the Winter edition of the Chennai International Fashion Week in December.
