Bollywood producer Atul Agnihotri (Salman Khan's brother-in-law) is reportedly planning a biopic on Superstar Rajinikanth. According to sources, Rajni has also given his consent, so the film is expected to go on floors soon. However, our Superstar will not be a part of that project. Newcomer Llyod Baptista, who has directed some international ads and has been working in India for some time, is expected to direct the project. If all goes as planned, this will be the first time a biopic on an Indian actor will be made.
Rajni's is the typical story that can be described by the adage "from rags to riches". Rajinikanth, then known as Sivaji Rao, began his service as a ticket collector in a local shuttle bus in Bangalore (before it became Bengaluru). Rajni is currently busy with his most ambitious project Rana directed by K.S. Ravikumar.
