Even as Rajinikanth fans all over the State continued to hold special prayers and homams, doctors treating the Superstar said on Friday that he is on the path of recovery and will be shifted to an ordinary ward in a day or two.
“He was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit only to be in a safe and sterile environment in order to avoid any infection. Rajini is much better now. And there is nothing to worry about his health,” sources in the Sri Ramachandra Medical Centre (SRMC) said.
On Friday, South Indian Film Artistes Association president and All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi supremo R Sarath Kumar called on Rajini at the hospital and wished speedy recovery. DMDK chief Vijayakanth called on the Superstar on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Dhanush has decided to throw a party for his winning a National Award for ‘Aadukalam’, only after the Superstar, who is his father-in-law, returns home from hospital. “That will happen soon,” the actor has tweeted on his microblogging page.
