Popular South Indian actress Sonia Agarwal, who currently made a comeback to films with a small role in director Krish’s Tamil action-drama Vaanam, a remake of the Telugu super hit Vedam, is debuting in Malayalam.

The actress recently signed her first Malayalam film, a family entertainer to be directed by Mohan Kupleri. According to sources, Mukesh will be the hero. Sonia will join the unit of this untitled Malayalam film in Kochi next week. More details are awaited.

The actress has also signed a new project in Tamil titled Matha, Pitha, Guru, directed by Ramesh with a new face in the lead. Sonia will appear as an investigative television journalist with negative shades, it is heard.
