Suriya's Maatraan even before its commencement is making the headlines with some or the other updates.

The last update we have seen regarding the film is movie launch which is schedule to happen during second week of July. Now latest we hear is that Harris Jayraj and director KV Anand have flown to Nigeria to compose peppy songs for the film. During the initial days the shoot is going to take place in and around Chennai later which the team is expected to leave to Pakistan. The second schedule is planned in Russia where the film's heroine Kajal Aggarwal will be joining the team. Suriya is playing five different characters in the film which is for the first time in his career.

Currently the unit is busy with the script work of the film and even Suriya is expected to join them.
