It looks like the season of gangster stories is the current trend in Kollywood. It happened with Aaranya Kandam a gangster flick which is now followed by Simbu's Vettai Mannan described in a new style.

The fundamental theme of Vettai Mannan is about a local gangster, who commits murder just for a few thousand rupees to an international gangster who deals with millions of dollars. Simbu's close friend Jai is playing a pivotal role in the film and when he gets killed Simbu gets in to the revengeful mode to abolish the rivals. This revenge action lands Simbu in bigger hullabaloo of gangsters and changes him into an international gangster from a local criminal. The first half of the film will take place in Chennai while the entire second half takes place in Brazil.

Deeksha Seth is sharing the screen space with Simbu in this film. The crew is expected to shoot the second half of the film in Brazil for 30 days. Nelson is directing this action packed entertainer.

The actor is trying to prove his talent in different roles, as he is portraying unique roles in each and every film he does. He is playing a tough cop in the film Osthi which is being made simultaneously by director Dharani.
