Prabhu Solomon's 'Kumki', what does the name mean?

When a press meet was organized on Monday evening to officially unveil the maiden acting venture of Vikram Prabhu, son of Prabhu Ganesan and grandson of 'Nadigar Thilakam' Sivaji Ganesan, many were surprised to know that the title of the film is 'Kumki'
It was later clarified by the movie's crew that 'Kumki' means elephants, which are used mostly for taming and training of newly captured wild elephants and also to lead away elephants that stray in to human settlements.
"The film is about a youngster who lives in a forest and has close affinity towards elephants. How his life changes after he falls in love is the crux of the story", said director Prabhu Solomon, who is wielding the megaphone for this movie after the mega hit 'Mynaa'.
Produced by UTV Motion Pictures in association with Lingusamy's Thirrupathi Brothers Film Media Pvt Ltd, 'Kumki' will have music by D Imman. "Vikram Prabhu is a right pick for the project", the director said.
