The last update we have seen about Karikalan is the first look of the film and now got an update that the film has completed the first schedule and is heading for the second schedule.

The team has canned the entire first schedule of the film in the deep forest of Thalakonam in Andhra Pradesh where some important scenes featuring Vikram were shot. Karikalan is said to have awesome computer graphics and special effects as director L I Kannan, is an expert in this area. It is well known that Kannan has worked for the visual effects for the films like Enthiran', Eeram and Anniyan.

Buzz in the tinsel is that Vikram will be sharing screen space with three beautiful ladies Zarine Khan, Mithra Kurien and Radhika Apte. Vikram plays the role of a warrior which is also revealed in the first look posters.

Karikalan is being produced under the banner of Silver Line Film Factory by SS Vasan and S Parthi.

The director of the film L. I. Kannan is in plans of releasing the film for Pongal 2012
