In a letter to Tamil Nadu CM J. Jayalaithaa, director Ameer has requested her to kindly boycott the ongoing Chennai International Film Festival as the committee members have ignored quality films like Thenmerku Paravakartu and Senkadal.


He also lashed out at the organisers for side lining quality Tamil films and giving preference to popular entertainers. "It is very unfortunate. Thenmerku Paravakartu has won three National awards but it did not find any place at the ongoing CIFF," Ameer said in a press note.
