The Tamil Film Producers' Council has decided not to hold any film shoot today as the dead-lock between the producers' council and the FEFSI on the issue of the film employees salary continues.

The producers are holding a crucial meeting today to discuss the issue of the salary of the film employees. To enable all producers to participate, the council has announced that no film shoot will be held today. It is expected an important decision will be taken on the issue.

Once in every three year the Producers' council and the FEFSI come to an agreement deciding the salary and other rules for the film employees. This year the FEFSI members have arbitrarily announced their own set of rules and salary for them. The council condemned this and called for an emergency meeting today.
