Actor Prakash Raj is one of the most versatile actors in the country. His name is mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Bollywoo...

Except for Nasser and the late Raghuvaran, there are none to be compared to Prakash Raj's histrionics in Kollywood.
Despite his perennial 'call-sheet' problems with his directors, actor Prakash Raj has proved time and again that he is in a league of his own as an actor. His passion for film-making turned Prakash Raj into a producer as he produced many films in Tamil including Mozhi, Abhiyum Naanum and Payanam. He is now gearing up for his upcoming directorial venture Dhoni which features him as the hero and has music by 'Maestro' Ilaiyaraaja.
Reports emanating from Kollywood say that Prakash Raj has taken a conscious decision not to star in films anymore and to concentrate only in directing films. He is said to be getting 'utmost satisfaction' in making a film as a director who calls the shots (literally!) rather than playing villain to leading and upcoming heroes.
He would continue to act, though, only in films made by him and that too in small roles. He won't commit himself to star in films made by other directors. His next directorial venture is said to be the Malayalam hit film Salt & Pepper which he would be making simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Well, we'd surely miss the actor in this film-maker!
