Santhanam starer Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya, produced by his Handmade Films and Rama Narayanan’s Thenandal Films is a sure winner at the box office this Pongal. Powerstar Srinivasan who was part of the main lead in the film seems to have been a special attraction to the audience.

Walking out of the theatres many are in awe of Powerstar’s antics in the movie. Certainly he has overshadowed his close support Santhanam and Sethu in their chase for Vishaka Singh with his quirky facial expressions.

Powerstar has said that he had always wanted to do commercial roles for the masses because at the end of the day it is the fans who will decide if he should stay or leave. The actor seem to be happy from the response from them and has said that he will continue to tickle them till they get tired of him.

The film has brought in the numbers right from the start and it is doing well with the box office collection. The comedy caper, inspired by yesteryear Bhagiyaraj hit Indru Poi Naalai Va has become the big hit. Interestingly, KLTA was made on a first copy basis at 3 crores and it has recovered that cost within the first three days of release. The first three-day collections at the box office are approximately 3.76 crores.
