Ilayaraja will be acting in a song under the movie Naadi Thudikkuthadi. Director selvaa said “Raaja Sir has starred in the song sequence along with some music artistes.
The song has been shot in exotic locations and amid sea water. I’m sure the song would be one of the highlights of the film. It was very difficult and almost an impossible task for us to get the Maestro to appear on-screen for the song sequence.”

He added “I suggested to the producer that it’d be better if the Maestro appeared in the song sequence. I spoke to Raaja Sir and explained to him about my need. Though I didn’t compel, the Maestro was gracious enough to have agreed to star in the film. We are happy that the sequence has come out very well after the Maestro showed his full commitment in starring in the sequence.”
