Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu’s dad, Mr. Ramasamy Thevar passed away yesterday around 12 30 pm in his native Vadukapatti village near Periyakulam. He was 82.

He had been experiencing kidney related problems and was receiving medical treatment in Madurai. All the treatment was to no avail and Mr. Ramasamy passed away. He is survived by his wife Angammal, his two sons Vairamuthu and Pandian and a daughter Vijayalakshmi.

The last rites are expected to happen today around 1 pm and Vairamuthu and his family are already in Vadukapatti. Behindwoods prays for the departed soul to rest in peace.
