The Diwali battle is getting interesting. Vijay’s Raja directed Velayutham has come out with a new trailer, which looks mass and entertaining.

Producer Aascar Ravichandran had a meeting with Vijay and his father SA Chandrasekhar. The buzz is that release strategy is being worked out.

Meanwhile Suriya’s AR Murgadoss directed 7aum Arivu release is in full swing. Producer Udhayanidhi Stalin of Red Giants is booking more theatres for the film which looks like will release in a large number of screens.

7aum Arivu rights for US and Canada have been bagged by Bharat Creations.

The buzz is that Selvaraghavan’s Dhanush romantic musical Mayakkam Enna which was slotted for Diwali may opt out of the race.

The producers of the film feel a solo release is better than going for a multiple release. The film may be pushed to November third week after the hurly-burly of Diwali.

STR’s Dabangg remake Osthi shooting is still going on. One more song has to be shot on the lead pair of Simbu and Richa in Macau.

The producers are planning an audio launch on October 6. Reliance Entertainments who are marketing the film is likely to come out soon with a newspaper ad announcing it as Diwali release.
