It is rumoured in hushed tones by the Unit of actor Karthi’s upcoming film Alex Pandian that the film’s shooting schedule is being delayed due to its lead actress Anushka, who hasn’t been available to shoot for the film for the past 2-3 weeks. 
Readers might recall that Anushka made a brief cameo appearance in Karthi’s latest film Saguni much to the delight of her fans.


As such, Alex Pandian would be the first film wherein Karthi and Anushka are paired opposite each other on-screen.  Karthi’s Saguni, directed by debutant Shankar Dayal, didn’t live up to the expectations at the box-office but it has neither dented the demand among the producers and directors to sign up the promising Karthi as the lead actor in their films.

It turns out that Anushka shot for a few days for Alex Pandian before taking a break to shoot for Selvaraghavan’s Irandaam Ulagam wherein she’s been paired opposite Aarya for the first time.  In both these films, Anuskha won’t have problems with the ‘height’ factor, it is believed.  The crew of Alex Pandian was waiting for Anuskha’s ‘return’ but were upset that she didn’t turn up.

The crew then shot sequences involving Karthi and others.  As Anushka is in the final stages of the shoot of Irandaam Ulagam, she has been reportedly asked by Selvaa to stay back and complete the film’s shoot so that the continuity is not affected.  This hasn’t gone down well with the crew of Alex Pandian.

However, when the lanky and sexy Anushka comes back and starts shooting by giving the Unit her trademark smile, would anyone among the crew not be smiling back at her?
