Gautham Menon to start Suriya's ‘Thuppariyum Anand’; Simbu later

Gautham Menon starts ‘Thuppariyum Anand’ Suriya; Simbu later
Gautham Menon's current film 'Neethaane En Ponvasantham' is nearing completion . Even as it is currently being discussed, rumours about his next have surfaced and they suggest that the director will be teaming up Simbu again in his next venture, being the sequel to Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya.

According to our sources, GVM at the moment is strongly focused on the pre-production for Thuppariyum Anandhan for which he has signed Suriya.

Gautham Menon and Suriya together have streaked success with couple of films ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ and ‘Vaaranam Aayiram’. After a long hiatus, they’re back together with ‘Thuppariyum Anand’. Initially, Ajith Kumar was the first choice of Gautham Menon. However, due to creative difference of opinions, they parted ways finally giving Suriya the way. The film is a suspense thriller with Suriya playing the role of a detective and major portions of the film will be shot in London. Buzzes are that the film is loosely based on the lines of world famous films adapted from the novel ‘Sherlock Holmes’. Soon after the completion of ‘Singam-2’, the film will go on floors from March 2013.

Although they have not entirely dismissed the prospect of GVM working with STR again later, they have asserted that the director's attention will be on NEP first and Thuppariyum Anandhan after that.
