Suriya is immersed in the shooting of Singham 2, directed by Hari, but that has not stopped speculations about his forthcoming project. After Singham 2, the much-in-demand star will be teaming up with director/producer Lingusamy for a high-action film, so the latter had said in an interview to the newspaper.
The buzz also is that actor/director Sasikumar met Suriya recently and discussed a script with which the actor was apparently impressed. A source close to the actor also confirmed that the two met sometime back. The high point of the film is that it has a Madurai backdrop and Suriya will, for the first time, be cast in a role requiring him to adopt Madurai’s lingo, with its famous slang. The Maattrraan star has acted in films mouthing Thirunelveli slang in some of Hari’s earlier flicks. Sources inform that Suriya has planned to take special training for Sasikumar’s film to perfect himself with the Madurai dialect.
The Sundarapandian director who has wrapped up his next acting venture, Kutti Puli, is in the process of fine-tuning his script for Suriya. However, an insider says that the filmmaker will only be directing the film, not appearing before the camera.
Sasikumar usually directs and acts in his movie. But this time Suriya is to act in Sasikumar's movie. The story has been discussion form a last year but there is no official announcement of this movie.
