Rendavathu Padam starring Vimal, Arvind Akash, Richard, Vijayalakshmi and Ramya Nambeesan is directed by CS Amudhan of 'Tamil Padam' fame. The film touted to be a comedy thriller has been been censored with a 'U' certificate with a few cuts.

Though Rendavathu Padam’s shooting was completed several days ago and the film was ready to make it to the theatres, it did not. The problem was that the Censor Board officials wanted some scenes to be chopped off and the director was not willing to do it.

However, sensing that it would not be possible to get a clean chit for Rendavathu Padam unless the scenes are removed, CS Amudhan relented and did the needful. Now, the movie has been certified with a clean U and will be hitting the screens shortly.

Produced by ScreenKrafts Entertainment, the distribution rights of the film has been acquired by Abi and Abi. The film also has interesting track titles which are Death Anthem, Kuppa Thooti, Aappu Birthday, Adutha Paruppu and Roja Poo. The director's first film a spoof on Tamil films was a hit, so a lot is riding on Rendavathu Padam.
