Music composer Anirudh has apologised to producer Varun Manian, stating that he could not work on the latter's film due to some other pressing commitments.

Music composer Anirudh has penned an apology letter to producer Varun Manian of Radiance Films for not honouring his commitment and composing the tunes for Vayai Moodi Pesavum. The music director, after being paid an advance of Rs. 6 lakhs, opted out of the project citing time constraints as the reason.

Following this, the producer had filed a complaint at the Producers’ Council and based on their intervention, Anirudh has tendered an apology letter apart from agreeing to return the advance amount.
"I sincerely regret the same," the composer stated in a statement, "I am refunding to you through the Council the money received by me. I request you to treat the matter as closed and withdraw the subject complaint."
Ending the statement in a positive note, the composer added, "I look forward to working with your banner and wish your present project all success."

VMP is directed by Balaji Mohan and stars Dulqur Salman and Nazriya in the lead roles.
