It looks like Diwali releases are bracing up to hit screens on time. While Ilayathalapathy Vijay's much-awaited Kaththi has been cleared with a clean U, Poojai has got U/A certificate.

Vishal's upcoming film 'Poojai' with Shruti Haasan as the lead heroine will be releasing for diwali this year. The film directed by Hari, has been censored yesterday, and their certificate has shocked the director and the actor, who is also the producer.

Censor board has given U/A certificate to the film claiming that the film has numerous bloody violent scenes.

It is to note that Tax exemption will only be given by the Tamil Nadu Govt, for the films with U certificate. So, Vishal has now decided to make some changes to the film and send it again to the revising committee of the censor board so that they are eligible for tax exemption.

Kaththi is directed by AR Murugadoss and has Vijay and Samantha playing the lead. Poojai, on the other hand, is directed by Hari with Vishal and Shruti Haasan playing the lead cast.
