More than 30 films have been released during the last three months. Since there are cricket matches and examinations, the release of films have been suspended for time being.

Some of the films that are to be released have big stars in the lead roles. The films to be released for the summer vacations are Komban, O Kadhal Kanmani, Masss, Mahabali and Rajini Murugan.

Producer Gnanavel Raja had earlier decided to release Komban on 27th March. This film which has been directed by Kutty Puli Muthaiah has Karthi, Lakshmi Menon and Raj Kiran in the cast. On the same day, Simbhu starrer Vaalu and other small were also to be released.

Now it has been announced that Vaalu will not be released on 27th March and will be released on 1st May. So it was expected that Komban will be doing roaring business. Now the release of Komban has also been postponed to 2nd April. The reason for the postponement is that some political organization is protesting against the film.
