Samuthirakani to play don in Vishal's next
Actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani, who has mostly played character roles, will be seen essaying a full-length role of a Madurai-based don in actor Vishal's yet to be titled film.

Samuthirakani, who was seen in Tamil films like "Saattai" and "Poraali", is said to undergo a make-over to play a don.

"The story is set against Madurai, and Samuthirakani plays the local don. He's expected to undergo a make-over for the role. Director Suseenthiran was impressed with Samuthirakani's recent roles and he felt he'd be perfect for this role," a source from the film's unit told.

Vishal will be seen as an undercover police officer in the film, which also stars Kajal Aggarwal. D Imman is scoring music and Velraj is handling cinematography with Rajeevan on stunts.

The film, which went on floors a couple of weeks ago, marks the second time collaboration of Vishal and Suseenthiran after "Pandiya Naadu" and the same team coming together again has raised the curiosity levels of their fans.
