Close on the heels of music composer Vijay Antony becoming an actor with a film titled ‘Naan’, one more popular person from the music field is all set to don the greasepaint. He is Vijay Yesudas, son of the singing legend K J Yesudas.

The young singer will play one of the protagonists of a Malayalam film titled ‘Avan’, directed by Nandan Kavil. The other hero of the movie is Tamil actor Bala of ‘Kadhal Kisukisu’ and ‘Anbu’ fame.

“It is an uber cool character and I am playing a Mumbai based singer who wants to make it big in the south. Thanks to the director, I didn’t have to work very hard with emotions. Everything is going cool,” says Vijay.

Informing talkie portion of the movie is over; the singer says he will soon start shaking legs for the film’s songs. Music is by debutant Anil Gopalan. Interestingly, Yesudas is also crooning for a number for his son in this movie.
