Maanja Velu
After tasting success in Malai Malai, the Arun Vijay-Venkatesh duo is back with Maanja Velu. The director-actor duo has wrapped up the shooting of Maanja Velu and also post production. Prabhu, Karthik, Ganja Karuppu, Santhanam and others form the supporting cast. Mani Sharma has scored the music for this action thriller.
Kola Kolaya Mundhirika
Kola Kolaya Mundhirika is Madhumita's second directorial venture after the critically acclaimed Vallamai Thaaraayo. The cast includes Karthik Kumar, Bhavana Rao, Jayaram, M.S. Bhaskar, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Vasu Vikram, T.M.K. of Evam theatre group and Delhi Ganesh. Kola Kolaya Mundhirika is a fun riot produced by Giriguja Films with story and dialogues by Crazy Mohan.
Kutrappirivu
Director Manmohan's bilingual Telugu-Tamil cop movie Kutrappirivu (Police Police in Telugu), being simultaneously made with Srikanth (Sriram in Telugu) and Prithviraj in the lead roles. The movie will also feature Kamalini Mukherjee (of Vettaiyadu Vilayadu fame) and Sanjana, who made her debut in Kollywood with Kokki.
Produced by Chandu under the banner of Pinnacle Pictures Pvt. Ltd., Kutrappirivu revolves around two young honest police officers: S.P. Ranadhir and D.S.P. Ravikanth. Both crave for peace in society, but choose different paths to achieve their common goal. The services of these two Tamil Nadu cops are requested by a neighbouring state, which is reeling under the problems caused by naxals. How the cops resolve the issue forms the crux of the story.
Kanagavel Kakka
Kanagavel Kakka, starring Karan and Haripriya in the lead roles, is expected to be a commercial entertainer which revolves around a news reporter. Music composed by Vijay Antony has been released under the Think Music label. The songs were shot in picturesque locales of Thailand. Karan hit the gym continuously for four months to reduce his weight for this role.
Khadalaagi
Khadalaagi is produced and directed by K.R. Vishwa, who has also penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. The star cast includes Krishnakumar, Shrishti Dange, Ajay, Amrita Chabria, Roshan, Santosh, Kashish Kapoor and Natchatara. Prakashraj plays a prominent role in this film.
A.R. Rahman’s sister A.R. Rehana has composed the music while Thaman of Eeram fame is taking care of the background score.
Magane En Marumagane
Magane En Marumagane, starring Kannada star Mithun Tejaswi and directed by T. Gajendra, has comedian Vivek playing the lead role for the first time in his career. The movie has the distinction of having Khushbu croon a song; this maiden attempt has come out beautifully and very naturally, says the director. The movie is produced by Raj TV.
