Simran, who ruled the roost in the late nineties and the early part of this decade, is now a happily leading her marital life.  Though she’s been acting in Television serials in Telugu, she reportedly wanted to produce Television serials in Tamil.  As with any other newcomer to this profession, she approached Sun TV with the proposal.

Authorities at the Sun TV were obviously elated to note that Simran wanted to produce a television serial for them but were put off when they were told by her that she would only be producing and not starring in it.  Simran was clearly informed by them that if she decided to ‘star’ in it, they were ready to allot her prime-time slot.  Otherwise, she would have to ‘wait’.

Simran reportedly tried to explain them as to how her small-screen appearance for a serial on Jaya TV a couple of years ago failed to meet with any positive response and said she was apprehensive in donning the grease paint again.  Sun TV, though, would have none of it and is quite adamant that Simran should be starring in the serial she plans to produce.

This might just force her to take the plunge into acting again!
